Do your Prestige Porcelain platters and bowls have a chip warranty?
We are asked this question alot. Mostly due to the current trend within the tabletop china/porcelain foodservice industry.
No our porcelain product does not have a chip warranty. However, our porcelain differs substantially from the standard tabletop porcelain & other ceramics in that our porcelain does not have the usual thin tapered edge. But instead Gourmet Display porcelain has a rolled edge feature which adds considerable chip resistance and high thermal shock tolerance.
Also our porcelain is different than the usual tabletop china in that it is thicker, 2x fired & fully vitrified, FDA Inspected to be free of lead or cadmium
Thus our reference to our porcelain as hotelware; A term we use for a quality and durability level far above what usually is used in a home setting.
